Refined Knowledge of Art, Grounded in Financial Services
President and founder of Cheney Appraisal Services, Linda Cheney, has proven her commitment to completing assignments of all sizes with the same level of personal involvement, knowledge, and professionalism.
Selected large engagements include an appraisal of the Salmagundi Club's permanent collection of 900 works of American art as well as a contemporary artist’s estate appraisal of 1140 works for estate tax purposes. Both projects began with a detailed and professionally photographed catalog to support curatorial and marketing objectives.
Over the years she has visited countless homes to appraise personal property for individuals for insurance, estate and resale purposes. Items include general household contents such as fine art (paintings, prints and sculpture), furniture, silver, ceramics, Oriental carpets, antiques and other collectibles.
